My Fall Semester of my Senior Year at MIAD, we were required to take a course called Green Studio. This class focused on sustainability and strategies such as energy conservation, recycling, and reusability. We were each given a site in an industrial block of the 5th Ward in Milwaukee, also known as the Harbor District. I decided to propose a Community Greenhouse for my site, because it would add many assets to this area. Not only would it become an additional financial resource for the city, but it gives families and students a place to gather for workshops or to purchase organic plants and food.
